Minimum skills for Instructor/Lecturer positions include a Masters (PhD most popular), college teaching and advising expertise, a passion for educating, an interesting classroom presence, a capability to engage students and an ability to encourage and help college students.
Candidates should possess a recognized college diploma and professional qualifications in librarianship (MLS or equivalent); have not less than seven years of expertise in academic library settings with demonstrated managerial, supervisory and management abilities; have sound knowledge of acquisitions and cataloguing; have robust coordination, analytical and interpersonal expertise; have skill to work properly independently and as a team player; and have wonderful written and oral communication skills in each English and Chinese (including Putonghua).
Liable for (i) overseeing the daily operations of the Public Affairs Workplace; (ii) planning and implementing the policies, pointers and processes for promotion and public relations actions of the Institutions; (iii) planning and organizing promotion and public relations activities in addition to recruiting local and non-local college students in Hong Kong, Mainland China and elsewhere; (iv) monitoring the manufacturing and quality of promotion supplies and publications of the Establishments; and (v) performing another duties as assigned by the Vice-President (Research and Advancement) and the President.
