The High School Program of the Albany
Free School, Albany, NY seeks teacher and interns for 2006-2007 school
year.
The Independent Learners Center is a new academic and career support
option for teenagers who require a loving, non-coercive high school
community in order to thrive. We are a project of the 38-year-old
independent Free School of Albany. Built upon the same principles of
autonomy, respect, and personal responsibility that have made the
Albany Free School so successful with elementary and junior high
school aged students over the years, the Independent Learners Center
guides students in setting their own learning goals and building the
lives they imagine.
Applicants please send a cover letter and one supporting document
(portfolio, resume, or letter) to give us a sense of your past
experiences. You will be called for an interview.
People of color are especially encouraged to apply.
