The international incubator for Democratic Educational entrepreneurship in Summerhill
The incubator is a joint venture of Summerhill and the Institute for Democratic
Education.

The incubator serves as a center for development of democratic educational
entrepreneurship. Democratic Education experts guide entrepreneurs interested
in initiating breakthrough enterprises in the field of education and social
affairs. The incubator assists entrepreneurs to acquire pedagogical and
organizational tools to help them turn the imaginary into the real.

The incubator will serve as a center for groups of activists wishing to found
democratic schools in different countries.
The Summerhill Workshop
The Summerhill Workshop is the first step for membership in the incubator. The
Summerhill workshop is held in Summerhill School for one week. 12 people from
various countries active in the field of education will participate in the
workshop. The purpose of this workshop is to “open the minds” of its
participants to new directions and possibilities in education. By the end of
the workshop every participant will have completed designing a future plan that
will be supported by the staff during its implementation.
