Vision of The Institute for Democratic Education Educational Innovativeness from a Democratic Point of View. The Institute focuses on research, development, dissemination and application of Democratic Education ideas in Israel and worldwide. Democratic Education Democratic Education sees an enhanced awareness of life in a democratic culture as the main goal in the field of education. Democratic Education considers the application of democratic processes and the protection of human rights in schools as an essential basis for the promotion of democratic culture in our society. Objectives of Democratic Education Educating towards Respect – Creating an educational framework that respect its members on the basis of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. Education toward Independence - Assisting students in creating and acquiring tools that will help them in their efforts to achieve their goals. |
