 Approximately 25 staff members work in the Institute in various fields- Organization Consultation, Education, Environmental Planning, Human Rights, Organizational Innovation, Philosophy, History, Environmentalism & Sustainability and others. The Institute is active in Israel as well as world wide. Ms. Dafna Baradin Ms. Efrat Ben Zvi Director of study and training in The Institute for Democratic Education; facilitator and consultant on democratization processes in schools; designing democratic education curricula and teacher training workshops; in the past founded a photography center for rehabilitation of children with behavioral problems in Hadassim Youth Village; the director of the photography center in The Democratic School in Hadera; a professional photographer. Mr. Eyal Ram Ms. Idit Ayzen Mr. Gilad Babchuk Head of the Entrepreneurship Department in The Institute for Democratic Education; Consultant of towns and residential areas on processes of change; in the past has been, among other things, the coordinator of the national training of Hanoar Haoved V'halomed Youth Movement; among the founders and the director of Hameorer- the center for alternative instruction and studies; among the founders of Mishlav School in Haifa; coordinator in "Chinuch, Miktsoa v'avoda" center. Ms. Michal Shemesh Mr. Raviv Reichart Editor of the democratic education periodical Siman She'ela; facilitator of democratzation processes in schools; studies coordinator in The Democratic School in Hadera; designing democratic education teacher training curricula and workshops; completing his Phd in comperative literature. Mr. Yaacov Hect President of The Institute for Democratic Education. Founded The Democratic School in Hadera, Israel in 1987 and served as its principal until 1997. Initiated the first IDEC in Israel in 1992. Established The Institute for Democratic Education in 1995 and has since then served as its president.  General Director of The Institute for Democratic Education; a senior organizational consultant specializing in executive training and leading democratization processes in organizations, schools and in Regional/local authoroty ; a former school principal and educational councelor. MA in organizational behavior and business management. Ms. Zehava Barkani A lecturer on human rights and multi-cultural society in The Institute for Democratic Education and The Jewish Agency; human rights activists in The Ministry of Education; consultant in the project for detached youth of The Ministry of Education; coordinator in the forum of Hakeshet Hademocratit Hamizrahit; facilitation of group work with a focus on arts, consultant on democratization processes in schools, writing a series of books on children from various cultures in Israel; finishing her M.A studies in group facilitation with the help of arts. |
